I find where your Dynamics 365 setup is wasting time and money, and tell you what to fix first.
An independent audit of your Dynamics 365 and Power Platform setup. £750, back to you within a week, written for the people who pay for the system as well as the people who run it.
Findings, ranked by effort and impact
Every finding is scored on how much it costs you now and how hard it is to fix. Anything high impact and low effort goes to the top.
| # | Finding | Area | Impact | Effort | Priority |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Licences still assigned to people who've left | Licensing | High | Low | Fix first |
| 2 | Invoice approval flow runs under one person's account | Power Automate | High | Low | Fix first |
| 3 | Changes made straight in production, no test environment | Customisation | High | High | Plan in |
| 4 | Sales team keeps a pipeline spreadsheet alongside the CRM | Adoption | Medium | Medium | Plan in |
| 5 | Unused fields on the main account form | Customisation | Low | Low | Tidy up |
This is the format of the report you get. Each finding also comes with what it's costing you and the steps to fix it.
The audit
- Price
- £750, fixed
- Turnaround
- One week from when I get access
- Access
- Read-only. Anything more is agreed in writing first.
- What I review
- Configuration and customisations, Power Automate flows, web resources and technical debt, licensing, and how the system is actually being used.
- What you get
- A written report like the one above, and a 30-minute call to walk through it.
- Afterwards
- Nothing, unless you want it. If you'd like help with the fixes, I'll quote a fixed price from the findings. Your own team can do them just as well.
Where the money usually goes
- Nobody owns it. Changes pile up with no plan, and the knowledge sits in one person's head or with a partner you can't see into.
- Flows tied to people. A flow running under someone's personal account stops the day they leave. Flows that fail quietly can break a process for weeks.
- Changes made in live. With no test environment or solutions, every update is a gamble, and old fields and forms never get cleared out.
- Licences nobody checks. Leavers still assigned, or people on a full licence who only need a cheaper one. Usually the quickest saving in the report.
- A CRM nobody trusts. If people keep spreadsheets next to it, you're paying for a system that isn't the source of truth.

Who you'd be working with
I'm Chris Denny. I've spent over five years running Dynamics 365 and Power Platform from the inside: customisation, automation, web resources and the day-to-day support nobody else wants.
I also took that work fully in-house from a third-party provider, so I know what gets missed when nobody is checking, and what a partner's invoice does and doesn't cover.
Steelhone is just me. You talk to me, and I do the work.
Questions people ask
Why not ask our current partner or IT team?
If they built or maintain the system, they're marking their own homework. I've no stake in defending past decisions.
What if you don't find much?
Then you have it in writing that the setup is sound, and a baseline to measure future changes against.
Do you work outside Sheffield?
Yes. The audit is done remotely, so anywhere in the UK.
Next step
Book a 20-minute call and tell me what's bothering you about the system. If an audit isn't the right answer, I'll say so.
